My Playlist from When I was Sixteen

The other night, my BFFs and I suddenly broke into karaoke. Blast from the past! As crazy as it felt, singing at the top of our lungs and utterly off tune was the most fun I have had in ages! What made it special was reminiscing about our teenage years by singing some hopelessly addictive bolly songs but also hopping on to the boyband express en route to emoville (excuse the cheesiness, but it’s no secret that all of us have grown up with some serious pop crushes).

Here is a brief insight into my playlist’s evergreen 16 from when I was sixteen. Mind you.. Nothing to be embarrassed about 😉

 1. The Reason, Hoobastank – a classic that I remember from the TV series Smallville. The song that still makes me want to fall in love!

2. Yeah, Usher – Can you feel your feet tingle ‘cause I sure can!

3. I Don’t Wanna Know, Mario – for all the poor souls who were (are) being cheated on..

4. Gori Gori, Main Hoon Na- SRK and Suhmita Sen rocking it in this 70s style song!

5. Hey Ya, Outkast – This one says it all! Shake it like a Polaroid picture baby 😉

6. Here Without You, Three Doors Down – ..”you’re still on my lonely mind!” *sigh*definitely the ultimate sad love song

7. Hum Tum, Hum Tum- So sweet #relationshipgoals

8. Turn Me On, Kevin Lyttle – ‘cause who didn’t! Still in my playlist 😀

9. Numb, Linkin Park – The first ever rock band that I absolutely loved!!

10. She Will Be Loved, Maroon 5 – Gah! Adam Levine! Need I say more!

11. Manwa Re, Noori – One of the best Pakistani songs that have ever been produced

12. Just Lose It, Eminem (my utmost fav) The parodies in this video made it the most hilarious video I had ever seen!

13. My Boo, Alicia Keys & Usher – my special song of 2004 sigh!

14. Gustakh Dil, Dil Maange More- another 70s inspired dance number

15. My Immortal, Evanescence- this song spoke to me, just one of those that instantly click and stay

16. Maahi Ve, Kal Ho Na Ho – the popular mehndi song of that time

I’m sure many of you can relate to this. Sniff. Good ol’ days! How many of these were on your playlist?
