Review: Huda Beauty Highlighter Palette (Pink Sands)

Looks like the world is OBSESSED with highlighters these days.

Becca Cosmetics, and Anastasia Beverly Hills gave us some of the best highlighters and now Huda Beauty have launched their very own Highlighter palettes.

I must admit, this was one launch I was REALLY looking forward to. The Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter palettes was launched online at on 17th April. My  friend and I were the few lucky ones to get ours hands on these beauties as they are now sold out!

All those teasers made it hard not to buy the palettes! I bought both shades – Pink Sands and Golden Sands. My palettes literally arrived in 2 days so you can only imagine my excitement!

After reviewing it, I must admit that the Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette is now officially one of my favourite highlighter palettes!

Each highlighter palette comes with 4 shades. This is how it rolls;

– the first shade is to prep,
– the second one is to set,
– then comes the third step: sculpt
– ….and lastly flush- for that perfect finish.

The Pink Sands is for fair to medium skin tones.

This is your prep shade, its a “melted strobe” creamy shade which sort of works as your primer and helps enhance the highlighter layers you put on top. Its a very light shade of gold.

Santorini is your next step-set. This shade is white with gold undertones. It is to enhance the cream highlighter. I honestly thought that this is it, and I can’t possibly need more on top of it, but hang on! Lets go to the next one…

Azores is to be applied under the cheekbones for that glowy look, to give it more dimension and shape. I was a bit hesitant initially to add one more layer but when I tried it, I literally went “Woah!” This is a medium gold shade and it is just wow!

The instructions say, sweep it on the apples of your cheeks, for a healthy glow. This is a highlighted blush which sort of reminds me of NARS’ Orgasm. This is your fourth and final step to add a pop of colour! And you’re done!

The 3D highlighter palette comes in Huda Beauty’s signature packaging. With a gorgeous picture of the diva Huda Katan herself, the palette comes in a square case with instructions on the inside and four highlighters.

Priced at $57 USD (Rs. 6,000) these palettes are exclusively available online at

Final Verdict

This palette is the bomb! It actually gave me a healthy glow without making me look weird. I had it on for over 6 hours and it stayed in place and looked fresh. Definitely a permanent part of my makeup bag now. The instructions inside are pretty awesome and I followed those exactly, was very pleased with the end result. Huda Beauty definitely hit a home run with this one!
