Product Review: Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipsticks
This post was written by El and appeared at The Beauty Isle
Hi Beauties!
Today I will be reviewing the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipsticks.
The outer packaging of these liquid lipsticks is so unique and beautiful!
I also like the unique square shape of the tube.
I will be sharing my thoughts on the shades Muse, Medusa, Trophy Wife, and Spice Girl.
Muse
is a muted rose (according to Sephora). According to me, it’s a mauve/lavender.
Medusa
is a dusty mauve (according to Sephora). According to me, it’s a taupe/lavender.
Trophy Wife
is a rose wood (according to Sephora). According to me, it’s a bright pink, but a bit muted which makes it wearable.
Spice Girl is a 90s brownish mauve (according to Sephora). According to me, it’s a chocolate brown.

My favorite shades of these four are Muse and Trophy Wife. I can’t stop wearing Trophy Wife when I go out at night! If you want to see Trophy Wife in action, check out this photo on my Instagram. I actually ended up returning Spice Girl because Spice Girl was just way too dark of a brown for me and not super wearable. I did like Medusa but I didn’t love it (and it’s also pretty similar to Muse) so I decided to return that one as well.
The formula of the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipsticks is definitely very liquid-y and not mousse-y like some other brands. It feels really light upon application and is very pigmented. They are very comfortable and not super drying. They take several minutes to try down to a full matte. Once they do dry-down they are transfer-proof. For me they don’t last through drinking and eating. However, my friend once applied hers at the same time I did and hers lasted the entire day, even through meals so I don’t know what my problem is! Overall, I’d say their quality is just as nice as the Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks.
These can be purchased at Sephora for $20 each.
Have you tried these liquid lipsticks? What is your favorite liquid lipstick brand?
