Huda Beauty Textured Shadows Pallete-Rose Gold Edition

Huda Beauty Textured Shadows Pallete-Rose Gold Edition

Out of all the makeup products launched this year, Huda Beauty’s Textured Shadows Palette- Rose Gold Edition was definitely the most hyped about! Getting my hands on it wasn’t easy but I managed to score one from Sephora, Mall of the Emirates, thanks to a friend of mine.

I have heard mixed reviews about this one, some people actually totally love it and others, well, they don’t! I wanted to try it out myself and here’s what I thought about it.

For me packaging is very important! And honestly I wasn’t over the moon about it. It comes in a cardboard case which features Huda Beauty’s signature eye design. For the price you’re paying ( $65 USD) you’d expect something more chic.

eye shadowsPrice:

I bought the pallete for around 270 AED ($70 USD) but if you’re buying it directly from the Huda Beauty website, its $65 USD and an additional $30 for shipping. So basically you’re paying a lot!

The Palette:

This pallete comes with 18 shades. From mattes to textured ones, there’s something in there for you to create day-time looks to party/wedding looks.

To apply the textured eyeshadows you need to use your fingertips, I’d recommend Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue Eyeshadow Primer before the actual application for the shadows to stay put. As for the matte ones you can use the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion and use a brush to apply.

To be honest, I have mixed feelings about this pallete. It feels like Urban Decay Moonlight pallete and Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Modern Renaissance Palette had a baby. This is just my personal opinion, I might change my mind after using it a few times. As of now, I’m just indifferent.

The names of the shadows, however, are pretty cool! From Dubai to 24K, they’re all catchy!

I’m a huge Huda Beauty Lashes fan and really hope to see more from the company.

The Huda Beauty Textured Shadows Pallete can be bought at: for $65 USD0
