With fall just around the corner, everyone is gearing up their winter attires and looks. But this year is not just about winter clothes and shoes; it’s about the  makeup look too! When you talk about makeup, what’s the first thing that pops in your head? Yes, lipstick! This fall is all about burnt oranges and terra cotta shades, and if you can’t live without red lips then, maroon and crimson are your go-to colours this season.

All the big brands are coming out with special shades for fall that have us really excited. Colourpop has made 3 lipstick packs for fall that consist of oranges and plums. Kylie is releasing her 3 new fall lip kits too.

Here are some of our most favourite picks for fall lip colours.

1.Colourpop “Bumble”

This is a dusky warm terra cotta shade that can be pulled off with any outfit you wear this fall/winter. This lip colour costs $6 on the Colourpop website, which by the way, now ships to Pakistan and occasionally has free international shipping deals on too. Sign up for their email updates, who knows you might end up getting a smokin’ hot deal 😉

2.Kat Von D “Lolita II”
This is a terra cotta nude or a brick red tone that can be used for daily wear. The formula is mattifying yet very easy to apply. It slides off a very thin layer and stays for a good 5-6 hours. This retails for $20 at Sephora and the Kat Von D official website.

3.Kylie Cosmetics “Love Bite”

This is nice plum brown colour for a night time look in winters. This colour like other Kylie lip kits is mostly sold out, so you need to keep a close eye on the website for when it restocks. Many Facebook pages are also selling Kylie lip kits in Pakistan. This retails for $17 on the website and the whole kit retails for $29.

4.NARS Audacious lipstick “Audrey”

This lipstick has such a wonderful formula and colour. It’s a red currant shade. For all the red lipstick lovers, this is the winter red tone to be worn both during the day and night. It’s towards the high end of the price spectrum retailing at $32 but the formula does really do justice to price. It’s matt yet doesn’t make your lip dry which is exactly what you need in winters. This colour, by the way is our absolute personal favourite!

5. MAC Lipstensity Lipstick “Toast and Butter”
This is a rich caramel brown colour, with a much-needed moisturising element especially for winters. Even with its creamy texture it stays for a quite a while and is definitely a must have shade for this season. It costs $21.

These five shades are must haves this season so stock up on them before winter starts in full swing and you’re left stranded before your favourite shades run out (Oh! The horror!!).

Until next time girls!
